What’s on in Fortitude Valley

The Valley is the live-music heart of the inner north, and our listings bear that out. Most of what’s on here is gigs, with a scatter of comedy nights and club sessions on top. Two rooms carry it. The Tivoli, at 52 Costin Street, runs the biggest share; the Fortitude Music Hall, at 312 Brunswick Street, takes most of the rest. Visible Ink hosts a few all-ages dates. Friday and Saturday are the busiest nights, with Wednesday a strong midweek third, so plenty happens here on a weeknight too. Only a small share of events are free; the price sits on each listing.

Getting in is simple. Fortitude Valley station is in the middle of the entertainment precinct, and the Valley is a bus hub, so you can skip the car for a late one. Both main rooms are a short walk from the station.
