This policy covers SeeBNE (seebne.com.au) and its newsletter. You can contact us about privacy at [email protected].
What we collect
- Newsletter: your email address, and the suburbs, event types and venues you choose.
- Event submissions: the organiser's name and email, the event details, and any photos sent with them.
- Site analytics: Google Analytics uses cookies to record how the site is used. This includes the pages viewed, the device and browser type, and the general area a visit comes from.
- Server logs: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, keeps standard logs of requests. These include IP addresses.
Why we collect it
- to send you the newsletter, built from the choices you make
- to check and publish events that organisers send us, and to contact them about it
- to see which pages people use, so we can improve the site
- to keep the site running and protect it from misuse
Who handles it for us
- Cloudflare: hosts the site and stores newsletter and submission details.
- Our email sending service: delivers the newsletter.
- Google Analytics: measures how the site is used.
These providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep only a record that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again.
- Event submissions: while the event is listed and for a reasonable time after, in case of questions.
- Analytics and server logs: for the periods set by Google Analytics and Cloudflare.
Your choices
- Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. It works straight away.
- Every newsletter has a link to change your choices.
- You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it or delete it. Email [email protected].
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
What we don't do
- We don't sell personal information.
- The newsletter is targeted only by the choices you make. We don't track you across other websites.

Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
